I am off of work today for the 4th of July holiday. I am so happy to have the 3 day weekend. I have to say too, I think that the 4th is one of my favorite holidays in that it’s just about relaxing and having fun. My sister-in-law has a great party every year with great food, great drinks, and great fireworks. She knows how to throw a party and it’s become sort of a tradition. So, that leads me to today’s question:
Do you have any 4th of July traditions? Or if you are in Canada, any Canada Day traditions? If so, what are they?

We seem to do something different every year. This year we’ll be with my mom and dad and having a BBQ at one of their friends homes.
We have a cookout and go to the park to watch the fireworks every year.

I used to work every year so others could go out, but now I just sit home. I’m not big on crowds so I don’t often go to the fireworks.
The past two years we had spent the weekend away with my brother’s family. This year they have a wedding to attend. We had hoped to keep up with the cherry picking on the 4th tradition, but not this year.
Our tradition is doing nothing lol Not by choice but our plans always fall through.
