Occupation:  Associate Producer

Describe Your Occupation:  I oversee the production of several different entertainment websites, scheduling updates and preparing new content.

Tell us about yourself:  I live in Southern California with my husband and two children. I have a 4 year old daughter that’s going on 14 and a 18 month old son. We both work full-time outside of the home and moonlight at night after the kids go to bed on personal projects.

Tell us what a typical day is like for you:  My typical day starts around 5am, I try and get up before the kids to check and answer emails. We get the kids up around 6am and are usually out the door by 7:30am.

I work from 8:30 – 5:00pm and then pick up the kids. We eat dinner as a family and get the kids ready for bed. We try to get them in bed by 8pm so we can work the rest of the night.

What are some of your challenges? My biggest challenge is time, there is never enough of it. Trying to create a schedule that works for everyone in the family is a huge undertaking.

How do find balance in your life? I am still working on this one. Both my husband and I have difficulty fitting time in for each other. So we are trying to take turns with the kids a couple of hours on the weekends and try and have a night out to ourselves every couple of weeks.

What do you do to take time for yourself? I’ll either have a blog event to go to or I’ll go to the mall alone, I love browsing the stores alone.

Do you have any advice for other working moms? My advice would be to enjoy the evenings with your kids, when you are at home, you are at home so leave the blackberry in the other room.

Do you have a favorite tool or resource that you use to help stay organized? Google everything. I stay organized with Google calendar, Google Docs and all of my email gets routed through Gmail.
